Transfer to Jambiani, tour briefing and test of bicycles. In the authentic village Jambiani, you will meet a piece of Africa with goats, ducks and many cheerful kids running around and the life on the beach is vivid. Dinner and overnight at Red Monkey Lodge, situated on the best beach on Zanzibar (according.to us) with a laid-back barefoot atmosphere. Maybe the Red Colobus Monkeys pays a visit for breakfast. Dinner incl. Excl.drinks

Day 2

Today we bike along the coast to Michamvi (22 km) to catch a wooden dhow and pack the bikes and ourselves to cross Chwaka Bay. Then we follow the coastline to Pongwe (13 km) and Seasons Lodge. If you want to, we stop at Pongwe and take something to drink at Upendo overlooking the famous restaurant, The Rock. Seasons Lodge is a favourite for its special location and quiet atmosphere. Mornings are amazing here so if you enjoy the morning light- get up early. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excl. drinks.

Day 3

This is a lush and green day! On our way to Chuini (44 km), we cross the Kiwengwa/Pongwe Forest Reserve - an important biodiversity spot in the coral rag zone. The forest reserve is rich both in faunal and floral species. Here we can spot Red Colobus Monkeys, Sykes, Blue Monkeys, Sunni antelope and several species of snakes, 47 bird species and 100 plant species including many medicinal species. After passing the rice- and bean fields where you can follow the farming life on Zanzibar we reach the Spice farming area. There we stop for a tour where you see, smell and try the tropical fruits and spices in season: vanilla, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, lemon grass, cloves, ylang-ylang, cumin, garlic, ginger, coriander, pepper, tamarind, chilli, oregano and many others. Lunch will be eaten with raw material from the farm. Rooftop dinner at Emerson on Hurumzi. Best rooftop in town where you will enjoy 270 degrees sea view accompanied by the call for prayers and the tingling sound from the Shiva temple below. Drinks excluded (enjoy sunset and drinks thereafter). Overnight at Kholle House - a personal boutique hotel filled with antiquities following the Spice Route to Zanzibar. A feeling of home and lots of beautiful balconies and terraces to enjoy. Breakfast, lunch at the farm and dinner. Excl. drinks
