The drive to the enchanting and thickly dense forest of Bwindi will take us a pleasant 10 hours. This is where the largest population of the endangered mountain Gorillas in the world reside. Don’t worry; the journey to Bwindi is all part of the fun.

Day 1

Our journey to the Mountain Gorilla land starts at 6:30 AM, soon after your breakfast. It takes us southwestwards passing through the equator in Masaka, to Mbarara town known as the ‘land of milk’. It’s time for us to stretch and have an early one-hour lunch break. As we drive, we glimpse sights of cattle akin to this land, the long-horned cows of Ankole. We shall pass through the large vast flat savanna lands to the amazing hilly slopes of Kigezi and finally to the impenetrable forest home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas! Travel to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Arise early to the great forest sounds of the African Jungle for your breakfast. With our packed lunch, we go for the pre-trek update from the rangers, who will tell you what to expect in the Jungle. Your trek could last anything from three to eight hours. Therefore, your physical stamina is largely required and this trek will definitely better your fitness level. After your highly adventurous Gorilla trek, we encourage everyone to give back to the community. This is done by participating in a village walk, where all the proceeds from the walk go directly to the locals. During your dinner at your camp, you will openly talk about your experiences in the jungle with other travellers. In all, Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is a memory to last you, your lifetime.

Day 3

A wake-up call from the jungle creatures ushers you to a new day with a hot delicious breakfast awaiting you. We then trek back our journey to Kampala with Lunch in Mbarara and another coffee break at the Equator. We drop you at the airport. – Meal Plan: Breakfast & lunch or opt for another night in Kampala; we shall gladly make your booking with a complementary drive to the airport and an option to go for souvenir shopping from the Ugandan lively craft markets.
